An Introduction to Ladakh :-

Ladakh was earlier of Part of Jammu & Kashmir State, now in present time, is one of a Union Territory of India. It is situated in the northern eastern part of India above Kashmir. The region, is consisting two district i.e. Kargil & Leh. The whole region is elevated between the height of 7000 feet to 15000 feet from the sea level. It is famous its cold and dry climate, snow capped & snow covered mountains, deep valleys, high plains,   Indus & Zeskar Rivers, Snow Deserts. It is the favourite destination of the Bikers and the people who like adventures journeys, honeymoon couples, college students and the people who want to enjoy the view of dry and snow.The culture of Ladakh is mixed culture, mainly Boddhists and Muslims are the permanent residents of this area.

When to Visit:-

Generally, main time to visit Ladakh starts from May 2^nd Week and remain open upto October 2^nd Week in each year. This time is the best time to visit Ladhak. As this time temperature remains normal and we can bear the cold temperature of Leh.

How to Reach Ladakh :-

There are three ways to reach Ladakh, 1^st one is by Air, 2^nd and 3^rd are by road through Manali and Srinagar respectively. Direct flights from Delhi to Leh, Srinagar to Leh always remains available and connecting flights from other parts of the Country are also available.

If you like to get adventures experience of a road trip, then you may like to travel to Ladakh by road for which you may like to adopt any of one route either from Manali to Leh via Shishu, Bara Lacha Pass etc or from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil
